  1. Laethanta Saoire na Cásca/ Children will get their Easter holidays on Thursday, finishing at the normal time,  as the staff have training in the Bí Cineálta programme on Friday. School will re-open after the Easter holidays on Monday, April 28th. Beannachtaí na Cásca oraibh go léir!
  2. M.Aisling -best wishes to M.Aisling Nic Dhónaill who is getting married over the Easter break.  We hope she has a lovely day ! Ádh mór ort, a Aisling!
  3. An Chéad Aithrí/ First Penance (confession) takes place on Thursday, April 10th at 7 pm in the Holy Family Church.  Comhghairdeas le M.Caoimhe agus leis na páistí ó Rang 2.
  4. Lá Domhnada Feasachta ar Uathachas/ World Autism Awareness Day took place on Wednesday last. We celebrated the day by encouraging children to wear blue accessories along with the uniform which is already blue. There were some creative hairstyles and accessories to be seen, and a number of classes created art displays made from jigsaw pieces, which represent how we are all different. Obair iontach!                                                                                                                                                            
  5. Rásaíocht Capall Éireann/Horse Racing Ireland: Rang 5 and Rang 6 will be visiting  Dundalk Racecourse on Wednesday. They will try out  RACE (a mobile horse simulator), meet a trainer, a farrier with horse, jockey/s, the head groundsman to talk about the track, and they walk on the all-weather surface (only one in Ireland).   6. Suíomh Gréasáin Nua/ New Website: Be sure to visit our revamped website -same address but new 'look' on  www.gaelscoildd.ie
  7. Coiste na dTuistí/ Parents' Council are sponsoring a raffle among all the children for 3 Easter Egg gift bags. This raffle will take place on Thursday.  
  8. Comhairleoir Deoiseach/Diocesan Advisor John Campbell visited Rang 6 and Rang 1 on Wednesday and was delighted to meet with the children to speak about their faith. 
  9. Cúrsaí Spóirt/ Sporting News: 
  • Comhghairdeas ó chroí/ Huge congratulations to both the  Boys' and the Girls' Gaelic football teams which have progressed to the County Finals taking place in Stabannon on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively. Buíochas le M.Diarmuid, M.Seán agus M.Hannah for their hard work training the teams - ádh mór oraibh sa chraobh!                                                   
  • Foireann  Sacair na gCailíní/ The Girls' soccer team took part in the FAI competition last week also and exited the cruellest way possible - on a penalty shootout -after being on level pegging after extra time. A valiant effort from all the girls and from M.Edel who prepared them. Maith sibh, a chailíní.
  • Comhghairdeas/Congratulations also to Kate and Cillian, Rang 6, who took part in the INTO GAA Skills Competition in Darver last week.
