Dia dhaoibh, cúpla scéal agus cúpla fógra – a few news items and some dates for your diary!
- Trath na gCeist/Quiz Success: Comhghairdeas/Congratulations to Feilimí, Dónal, Conall, Aoibheann & Kate who came second in the Cumann na mBunscol quiz which was held in St .Joseph’s school last week. They now progress to the next round of the competition which will be held in Knockbridge. Ádh mór oraibh agus buíochas le M.Edel a d’ullmhaigh iad.
2. Searmanas Cláraithe/Enrolment ceremony for First Communion will take place on Saturday during 7 pm Mass in the Holy family church. Ádh mór ar M.Caoimhe agus ar na páistí sa rang.
3. Ranganna ealaíne/ Art and Ceramics classes: Congratulations to all the parents and friends who took part in the arts and ceramic classes organised by M.Jenny over the last 6 weeks. 4. Dátaí don Dialann/Dates for your diary:
- Margadh Leabhar/Book fair 3/4/5 Nollaig/December: Parents are welcome to attend from 12:40 to 1.10 and from 2.30 -3.30 each day
- Dé Domhnaigh/ Sunday 8/12/24: Rang 5 & 6 will be singing at the carol service in the Holy Family Church at 7 pm.
- Dé Luain 9/12/24 -Dé hAoine 20/12/24: Children are encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers for these two weeks. Hot chocolate on 13/12/24 , organised by Glór na nÓg. €1 to be brought in on this day for Christmas Jumper day, the money from which will go to Coiste na dTuistí/Parents’ Council . Santa hats not to be worn unless requested by teacher, to prevent the spread of headlice.
- Déardaoin/Thursday 12/12/24: Rang 5 & Rang 6 singing carols and playing in the Long Walk Shopping Centre from 4 -5 pm. (School uniform to be worn)
- Dé Máirt/ Tuesday 17/12/24: Searmanas na Nollag/Christmas ceremony for Rang 1 -Rang 6 in Holy Family Church from 2.30 -3.00 approx. (School uniform to be worn)
- Dé Céadaoin/Wednesday 18/12/24: Ceolchoirm na Nollag/ Christmas Concert for Naíonáin Bheaga & Mhóra/ Junior and Senior Infants at 11.30 in the halla.
